DESCRIPTION :

Explore the beauty of rather rugged and magnificent landscape away from the normal traditional routes. This is the best time of your life to drive through Kaokoveld with your 4x4and overcome the rather challenging terrain. On these routes one is not only testing the ability of your 4x4but also enjoy the unspoiled landscape and beautiful scenery of Kaokoveld. On routes lots to encounter, desert elephants sharing the limited water with the local farmers in the areas, couples of stops and chat to the local herdsman/woman. Spending 5 nights under clear African sky while listening to jackals and other wild animals calls at night. Join us on the 4x4 WITHOUT BORDERSand have the experience of your life time.

 

Day 1,  Arrival at Roadside overnight there

 

Day 2, start a morning drive through the Hobatere Concession a game rich area and stop for lunch in famous Ombonde River under big Anna Trees and continue through dusty and rocky terrain up to Okahua/ Okarumba

 

Day 3, Next day short walk in the village and interact with the local Herero communities and continue with the journey, over mountains and over difficult pass and overnight at Otjikandavirongospring

 

Day 4, Continue in the northern direction to Okatumba village and through to upper Haoruseb river and camp at Ongongo village, the biggest Himba village in Kaokoveld

 

Day 5, After breakfast a visit to the Himba village, meet the village headman and exposure trip in the village, visit the school and after lunch a veld foot walk with Himba herdsman and camp at Ongongo

 

Day 6, The trip ends, the groups departs after breakfast

In between activities include, a visit to the local village, veld food walk.

IMPORTANT :

The tour will at least consist of 2 vehicles to four at a time with a guiding vehicle in front.

Guests to cater for the own food and drinks however the guide may assist with setting up the camp, helping where ever as his help is needed.

The guests to be self-contained, driving their own vehicle preferably with roof tents.
